Description of the Colorado Springs vacation cabin rental

The property is in the mountains right by Old Colorado City and Garden of the Gods. It is the most romantic and beautiful place in Pikes Peak Area. You will be close to all the sights and attractions. Watch the sunrise( or sunset) at Garden of the Gods! It is spectacular!

Built on a hillside overlooking the mountains, Pikes Peak Cabin offers breathtaking mountain views and privacy with city convenience. The neighborhood boasts wonderful PARKS, TRAILS and MINERAL SPRINGS.
Located in the foothills of Pikes Peak, this house was built in the beginning of last century and boasts with a lovely living room with wood burning fireplace, natural stone walls, wood bean ceilings. The bedrooms and the bathroom are down stairs. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a beautiful bedding set, a chest, a night stand and a small table. The second bedroom is furnished full size futon, a chest, TV set(DirectTV 140 channels) and BOSE Wave Music System. It also has a moss rock wall, a big green house window and a separate exit.
Cozy living room has a queen size futon, a recliner, two arm-chairs, two end-tables and a TV set with 140+ channels from DirecTV. New brushed stainless steel small appliances in the kitchen.
The cabin has a deck offering awesome mountain and city views.
Located in the very heart of Pikes Peak Area with most of attractions around it, the cabin is just 5 miles from downtown Colorado Springs, and right by Old Colorado City.
There are a lot of nature trails around, museums, caverns, parks, canyons, cog rail, etc. You will find a lot of tourist information in the house. There is a great restaurant a walking distance from the property. Take advantage of being so close to Garden of the God - unique red rock formations. The park is free.

 THE MOST MEMORABLE THANKSGIVING, December 4, 2007

We had a WONDERFUL stay at your cabin. Once we were inside we immediately felt right at home. The Thanksgiving decorations, welcome baskets and T-shirts were a delightful touch. We didn’t have a chance to see the view from the deck that night, but then what a sight when we opened the blinds the next morning! The way the lighting changed on the mountains and Pikes Peak was a wonder – from sunrise to sunset it was never the same. We even had a full moon and got to see the moon glow off the Peak. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Tho’ I think we could have slept anywhere after all the exercise and fresh air we got each day. We made use of your maps and tourist info and visited Garden of the Gods, took walks downtown to shop and sampled some of the springs, and took a hike that started out up by the cog railroad station (can’t remember the name of the trail). All in all, we had a most memorable Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for all your thoughtfulness and efforts. You really helped make it a very special holiday. We’ll definitely keep you in mind for future visits to the Springs

We enjoyed our stay at Pikes Peak Cabin so much! What a sweet,cozy, well appointed little place. The kitchen had anything we could possibly need in the way of small appliances, which was fun. The view from the deck was lovely. We enjoyed breakfast on the pretty patio set in the morning and in the evening it was neat to watch the thunderstorms out over the mountains. Everything looked new and clean. The newlyweds were very blessed by your gift of champagne and chocolate! All your little gift baskets and breakfast foods were very much appreciated by us all. If we come out again, we will hope the place is available. Again, thank you for all the thoughtful little touches you provided. It made our stay so pleasant. I was glad we got to meet you on that first day, also. Thanks

 

 PIKES PEAK VACATION - UNFORGETTABLE!, August 8, 2007

We had an awesome time! We loved staying in Colorado Springs Area and being so close to all the things we had on our list to see. Pikes Peak (via Cog Railway), Seven Falls and Garden of the Gods. We also went to the Air Force Academy and Focus on the Family...We have been long time listeners of this program and our boys have many of the Adventures in Odyssey CD that they have listened to for years. All these places are a must see for the first time visitor to the Colorado Springs area. On our way home we stopped at the Royal Gorge where my youngest son (11) dared to go fly on the Sky Coaster. Unforgettable! Your cabin was very nice!! We loved having our morning coffee as we sat out on the deck looking out over the city. My husband and I often commented on the fact that we would not have found a nicer or more convenient place to stay in Colorado Springs. Your cabin was clean and inviting, your kitchen had everything we needed to cook (loved the Foreman Grill). The beds were comfortable! The neighborhood was very quiet. We loved walking the streets of Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs and looking in all the different culture type shops. We had the BEST time on this family vacation and are so thankful for your hospitality in making our vacation one we will always remember. We so appreciated all the details you thought of in making our stay enjoyable...like the gift basket, binoculars, the information binder, the beautiful bedding set for our room and the chocolate. Thanks Julia for your part in making our time in Colorado Springs memorable!!
