Description of the Destin vacation home rental

The Palms of Paradise is a lovely four-bedroom home, new to the weekly rental market. You'll love this home, with its upscale furnishings, several notches above the typical vacation rental home. And it is just 1-1/2 blocks from beautiful white-sugar-sand Miramar Beach. Dining shopping and amusements are close at hand. You can swim with dolphins, cruise the Gulf, parasail, kayak or partake in any of dozens of other nearby activities.

The tasteful, spacious master BR features a king bed, large walk-in closet, TV/DVD/VCR, ceiling fan and a private bath with twin sinks, shower, and garden soaker tub.

There are two bedrooms with queen beds and top line mattresses and bedding, plus TV/DVD. The fourth bedroom features two comfortable twin beds, a TV/VCR/DVD and a selection of kid's videos. All bedrooms and baths are on a single floor - no stairs to deal with.

The large living room features a comfortable sofa, cushy love seat and an entertainment system with large flat screen TV, DVD and VCR. You'll have a separate dining room that seats 6, a breakfast nook off the kitchen and seating for 4 at the breakfast bar.

The spacious kitchen has everything you'll need for housekeeping, including range/oven, dishwasher, disposal, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with ice and filtered water dispenser, microwave, blender, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, crock pot and scads of utensils.

After a day at the beach, you can lounge on your private backyard patio with large gas grill, catch your favorite shows on the large screen TV, and just kick back and get away from everyday for a while. If you need to stay in touch with the world, wireless Internet is here for you.

Destin features a wide array of water-oriented activities, including beautiful white-sand beaches, surfing, sailing, parasailing, snorkeling/scuba diving, pontoon boat rentals, windsurfing, kayaking, jet skiing, sightseeing/dinner/dolphin watching cruises, and shelling. You can even swim with the dolphins in the open ocean. The shopping is great, with the largest Designer Outlet Mall in the US just 3 miles from the home.

Other activities include hiking/walking (Gulf-front state parks nearby), biking, miniature golf, fitness center/gym, tennis, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, amusement parks, museums, zoo, restaurants, cinemas and scooter & electric vehicle rentals.

The Destin area is home to a dozen fine golf courses, available to the public. There are nearby state forests with biking trails and bike, kayak and canoe rentals. And Destin is close to deep water, boasting a large fleet of charter fishing boats and day boats for the finest in deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

• Deposits: Rates reflect 6 persons or fewer. The home sleeps up to 9, so add $100/week per additional person over age 2. Half of rent is due upfront to secure the reservation. The remainder of the rent, plus 11% Florida tax and a $500 ($750 for students) security deposit are due 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Security deposit will be refunded within 2-3 days of checkout, if the property is left in the condition in which it was found and all rental policies are followed.
   
• Other Fees: We rent to responsible student groups with a $750 security deposit and $80 cleaning fee. A $60-$80 cleaning fee is applicable to rentals of less than a full week. Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. The home is available for monthly rentals during the fall and winter seasons at $1300 plus utilities for 2 people for 2-4 months. Inquire about rates for shorter stays and/or additional people. We accept PayPal, so you can pay by credit card

It was a great home. Very spacious and very lovely. Fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. It was also really close to the beach. About 2 blocks, less than a 10 minute walk for sure. Definitely recommended. I'm telling all my friends/fam to stay at the Palms of Paradise the next time they go to Destin!
