Description of the Ellijay vacation cabin rental

This beautiful new cabin is located on the banks of the Coosawattee River in the mountains of north Georgia. Goose Rapids offers beautiful views of the river from every room in the cabin and the year round chorus of rushing waters to serenade you. The lodge is located in a private less traveled area of Coosawattee River Resort, a gated community with several ammenities to keep you and your guests entertained. If you choose not to venture from the lodge we are certain that at Goose Rapids you will always find something to do, perhaps you could start by building a cozy fire by the rivers edge, soak in our soothing hot tub and stargaze, prop up your feet and read a best seller, explore the river with the river tubes that are provided, try your hand at fly fishing, take an invigorating walk on the mountain roads or if you would like we can arrange for massages for you and your party. Licensed massage therapists will come to Goose Rapids for your convenience and privacy. Of course you could just chill and enjoy the view from one of the 4 decks that this lodge offers. When you are ready to explore the mountains you will find several festivals and events during different times of the year that you may enjoy. You will be mesmerized by the sounds and the views of this glorious river. Once you stayed at Goose Rapids you will find it hard to leave.

Ellijay is a quaint smaller town just an hour north of Atlanta that has several antique shops, restaurants, apple houses and is also close to biking, hiking, boating, wineries. The town has an old fashioned Southern charm,is close to major grocery stores for convenience. Just a little over an hour to the Atlanta Airport and Chattanooga airport.

Beautiful new property with all the bells and whistles. Cozy, warm, inviting with a fantastic view of the valley. We are planning on staying again and again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful and peaceful cabin on the river. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit near the river and saw many deer and geese during our stay. The cabin itself was very clean and the furnishings looked brand new. We had everything we needed and when we weren't relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying the river, we played ping-pong in the game room in the basement. We will definitely return, hopefully year after year. This is by far the best rental cabin we've ever had the opportunity to stay in. We can't wait for our next trip up to Ellijay's Goose Rapids River Cabin.

Cannot believe our good fortune! Thoughtfully decorated and every room with a view of the river. Oh!! The River-Goose Rapids sits next to one of the best rapids on the Coosawattee. We've stayed at several 'river cabins' and none compare to this. Owners are attentive to your needs and have provided everything to make your stay perfect. Bring the kids, the grandparents, and leave your cares behind. You'll be mesmerized as you sit around the firepit with the crackling fire against the rushing river sounds. Top that with a soak in the hot tub and you'll forget there is anyplace else in the world. Do yourself a favor....don't hesitate to book this cabin.

We were blown away when we arrived. Sits on secluded wooded lot.Sooooo peaceful. Every accommodation you can imagine. Spectacular views from almost every room. We were thrilled by a surprise "show" of geese floating down river in a graceful line, two days in a row.The owners, Mark and Mary have seen to all your wishes. Every convenience you could want. Dine at a quiet table on tastefully selected dinnerware. Have a small business group looking for and atmosphere where you can conduct your meetings with plenty of room to spread out ? This is IT ! Beautiful, new cabin, with high-end furnishings. Incredible setting right on the river. We enjoyed eating on the deck where we could see and listen to the water. At night we built a fire in the firepit, and sat by the river, and talked way into the night. We cooked several meals in the gourmet kitchen. The beds were fantastic... slept like a dream. Mary and Mark (owners) were friendly, and extremely accomodating. The cabin was way back in the woods, but well worth the drive! WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!!
