 Great house, November 21, 2008
By Suzanne (Manahawkin, NJ USA)
We are civil war buffs and have stayed in Gettysburg many times but this was the first time we rented a home. It was a whole new experience and everything we hoped for. The house had lots of room for our party of nine. The character and charm of this Civil War home made our trip all the more memorable and enjoyable. The owners are very easy to work with also.

 Fantastic home!, September 6, 2008
By David Thibodeau (Maine, USA)
We stayed for 5 nights at this house and found it very charming. Our group of 4 adults / 3 kids had plenty of room to move around (and stay out of each other's hair) and the yard, wildlife and close proximity to town were all added benefits...as well as the bikes and fire pit! We are thinking of returning next year!

History buffs and old house fans will love staying in this home. It is roomy, comfortable, and well-furnished. (Ground floor bedroom and bath will be appreciated by families traveling with an older parent.) There are books and maps available to brush up on local history as you plan your day. Location is great - easy access to the battlefield and attractions in town, yet a peaceful, secluded setting on a quiet road. Kids enjoyed the bikes and sports gear left in the garage, but sitting on the porch rockers and enjoying nature is nice, too. Only one hour to Hersheypark!

home sweet home, July 22, 2008
By Kimberly Peurasaari (Michigan)
This home is most beautiful, the surroundings where quite, private, full of nature and a REAL place to get away and relax. The home it self was great. Hugh bedrooms plenty of bathrooms for everyone and I will going back again. Not to mention. The price was amazing.

Wonderful Gettysburg Rental, July 15, 2008
By Twyla Schmidt (Eau Claire, WI USA)
This is a classic Northern farmhouse that was everything we hoped for and more. We live in Wisconsin and vacationed in Gettysburg over the Fouth of July, with my parents and sister and brother-in-law. Our kids(three boys, oldest is 6) enjoyed the large yard, which is even better in person than in the pictures. Plenty of space for everyone. Ceiling fans in every room kept the house comfortable. Absolutely perfect location. Very private and peaceful, yet under a five minute drive to downtown shops. Just minutes to the first stop on the battlefield tour. Wonderful place for those who appreciate the historical value of that time period to stay. Large collection of civil war books available to renters. Libby and Al were very easy to work with. They even had some plastic dishes, perfect for our boys. A great place for families. We had a lot that we wanted to see and do in the area, and the house was the perfect place for our family to relax and unwind in the evening.
