Area Description

The Buffalo National River is 13 miles away, and the Ozark National Forest adjoins the property. The nearest town *(12 miles)is Jasper, Arkansas. Jasper has several nice stores, 2 museums (3 if you include Emma's Museum of Junk!), a National Forest Service office, the famous Ozark Cafe restaurant, and more. Our little town of Parthenon boasts a post office and the historic Parthenon General Store.
Creek's End is located in the community of Murray, a beautiful valley at the headwaters of the Little Buffalo river. The area is mostly wooded, with some scenic river-bottom pastures full of horses. Wildlife abounds, with common sightings of deer, turkeys, and numerous other small game animals. Up in the National Forest, we see an occasional bobcat, bear or even cougar.
