Description of the Jim Thorpe vacation home rental

This 4 bd., 1 1/2 ba. old parsonage house is a few blocks from downtown Jim Thorpe. Also included in the house is a library and enclosed porch. The home amenities include a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, pots and pans, dishes, etc., along with cable television. Sheets and blankets will be provided. Need to bring own towels. There is also a small fire pit out back for roasting marshallows.

Must be at least 25 years of age to rent or with responsible adults.

Outside, adventure abounds! The Switchback Bike Trail is literally in the backyard. You can take this trail to a lot of other bike trails in the mountains.

Winter sports are within a half an hour away!! Blue Mountain, Big Boulder and Jack Frost are the closest resorts.

Summertime sports are kayaking, rafting and tubing which are just 15 minutes away. Swimming is just four miles away at Mauch Chunk Reservoir which has a sandy beach, food and bathroom facilities. Glenn Onoko Waterfall is just 8 minutes away. You can also take a scenic train ride through the Lehigh Gorge. You can walk a few blocks to the train station or drive your car two minutes away. It's a beautiful ride. The Old Jail (The Molly Maguires) is just a few blocks away. A drive-in movie theater is about 8 miles away.
