Upper West Side Delight, November 19, 2008
By Al Penner (Calgary Canada)
Our entire family of 10 adults and a 7 month old baby just spent 4 exciting days using these 2 delightful apartments on the Upper West Side as our home base. We have always stayed at mid-town hotels in the past and were very pleased that we chose this option instead. The apartments are just far enough off Amsterdam and Columbia Avenues to provide a quiet, almost suburban feel. Yet the proximity to the shops on Amsterdam, Columbia and and Broadway, and the ease of getting downtown via either of the subway lines within a 3 minute walk provided for all the convenience of a mid-town hotel. Elaine and Tony are charming, helpful and gracious hosts. We will return!

We were all very well satisfied with the apartment and thought the location was just great . We were 5 adults and a small baby . The area was most safe , quiet with everything we needed nearby . Should we return to New York again we would certainly stay there again .

 Betsi, August 25, 2008
By Betsi (San Gabriel Valley California)
Great location-within walking distance to Central Park attractions and many little shops and outdoor restaurants on Columbus and Amsterdam...good location if you do not want to be in the craziness of Times Square- you are close enough to walk to shopping and the Museums and just a taxi ride away from Times Square, Canal Street, etc. Nice size apt for our family..was able to cook dinner a couple of nights and save a little money on meals. Great to have a refrigerator and microwave. Owners were very accomodating and met us upon arrival even though our plane was delated for 4 hrs and we did not arrive until 2am! The whole process was very easy. All done through emails.... Looking forward to returning again!

 Great location!, August 18, 2008
By Millia deQuartel (Ontario, Canada)
We have just enjoyed 5 nights at this property and had a wonderful time. The location is fabulous, with great access to subway, grocery, shopping, restaurants and quiet nights. Bathroom and kitchen are well equipped and with air-conditioning units and ceiling fans, we had a comfortable stay in the middle of summer! We totally recommend this location - we are a family of 4, two adults and two kids (ages 9 and 11) and this met all our needs! Enjoy!

 Great apartment, August 1, 2008
By Anne Hubo (Hasselt Belgium)
We (four of us) stayed in the apartment 2 A for a week and we enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, only one block away from the American Museum of Natural History and only a block and a half away from a subway east or west. Also, there are a great deal of nice restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood (Zabar's!!!). The apartment was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. We would like to make one suggestion: it would be usefull to have more cutlery in the kitchen. We would definetely recommend the apartment to anyone wishing to stay in New York for a longer period of time.

 Excellent Stay, July 15, 2008
By Diane Roberts (Boston, MA)
Apartment was as advertised with plenty of space for our group of four sisters. It was easy to access by car and by cab. We enjoyed the neighborhood immensely, even beginning to feel like it was "ours" by the end of our stay. The owners were easily contacted for questions and the information they provided was very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone considering for their rental.

By Tammy (Albuquerque, NM)
This apartment was a perfect location for our Manhattan vacation. Steps to the park, restaurants, shops and subway stations, yet in a quiet brownstone neighborhood. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Instructions were clear and our hosts were very well organized and helpful in finding interesting things to do during our stay.

By Breda & Allen (Dublin, Ireland)
We feel really lucky to have found Elaine & Tony's apartment in New York for our first family holiday to USA. The apartment is lovely - bright, clean and really well stocked and was perfect for our family of 5, including 2 teenagers. The location is fantastic, really close to subway, buses and with great restuarants/shops nearby. We particularly like "Good enough to eat" at 483 Amsterdam Avenue for breakfast and for dinner, "Al Dente" on corner of Amsterdam & 80th, about 2 minute walk from the apartment. Definitely worth a visit is "Fairways" supermarket at 212 Broadway - as I'm coeliac I have to eat a gluten free diet and 2nd floor in Fairways has a fantastic selection of gluten free and organic foods. Also fruit & veg is amazing. Overall, a brilliant first taste of NY which has left us all wanting to return soon. Finally thanks to Elaine & Tony who were great to deal with at all times. We will be back.........

 A great experience, March 24, 2008
By Patsy (Alice, TX)
We are a family of five and our stay in Apt 2A was a 5 star experience. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were able to be together as a family, but still have enough space to spread out and have some privacy. Having a kitchen allowed us to prepare some of our meals or bring in pre-prepared meals from great eating places all within walking distance. Apartment location was great. We felt safe walking to the corner deli at Columbus St. for a quick snack or drink. We were conveniently located near bus, taxis and subways. We were always 2-10 minutes away from tourist attractions, but after a day of noise and crowds, we could come "home" to a nice, quiet street. Thank you to Elaine and Tony who were gracious hosts, making our trip a complete New York experience!
