Description of the Point Harbor vacation home rental

As you can see from the pictures, our home rests approximately 50 feet from the water's edge and is nestled in a private neighborhood, off the beaten path. The grounds are nearly an acre of well manicured native plants and shrubs with several beautiful pine trees for shade when the sun gets too hot. The 40 x 20', in-ground pool offers free solar heat for those evenings when the temperature gets a little chilly. There is also a 7-person hot tub where you can enjoy the millions of stars while listening to the waves.

Of the 5 bedrooms, two are master suites where Anderson doors open to their own deck/patio, each with Soundfront views. The Sound is perfect for swimming with its clean, flat sandy bottom and easy access from the swimming platform. Local attractions include: a vineyard, 3 golf courses (the Pointe, Holly Ridge, and Kilmarlic), many restaurants and great shopping just over the Bridge. The Outer Banks beaches and shops are a 5 minute away drive.

In the summer, drive to Roanoke Island for a live renactment of the Lost Colony. The Wright Brothers Memorial is a 10 minute drive away. Take a ferry to Ocracoke or go to Pea Island and see the most beautiful natural habitat and water at the Outer Banks. You can do as much or as little as you please with a vacation here! Be sure to reserve those prime summer weeks early amd enjoy kayaking (provided), fishing, swimming, bicycling, relaxing in the hammock, and breathtaking sunsets and views. The home is perfect for a fall or winter getaway with the firepit and hot tub right by the sound to keep you toasty! You will enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, privacy, and views of the water you can't experience anywhere else on the Outer Banks!

The Outer Banks includes some of the areas most beautiful and unspoiled beaches on the East Coast. Our home is located at Point Harbor, 5 minutes away from the tourist area of the Outer Banks. The Wright Brothers Memorial where flight first took place is 10 minutes away. If you like day trips, take a ferry to Ocrakoke visit the National Seashore and see some of the native wildlife. Our home is located in one of the most private areas of the Outer Banks directly on the Albermarle Sound. There is no one to walk in your back yard and you have a private dock with a swimming platform. You can bring your jet skis, boat, or use the kayak we provide for you. Our guests have described it as a place you never want to leave.

Kids can be kids again at this home. They can entertain themselves for hours in the yard, swim in the pool or sound, catch fish or crabs right off the dock, or roast marshmallows at night at the fire-pit. Adults can be kids again too....there are so many things to do at the home, one guest said the only reason to leave was to buy Outer Banks Souvenirs!

• Deposits: $300 security deposit There is a minimum 3 night rental and the rate is $225/night. No nightly stays in peak season.
   
• Other Fees: Cleaning fee is included Linen fee is $80 and includes all sheets, towels, and kitchen towels $300 refundable security deposit

Words cannot describe the wonderful vacation we had here. Location, ammenties, and the home itself offer those staying here a wonderful time. I have stayed at both the northern and southern portions of the OBX, however none have compared to the great time we had here. Anyone contemplating staying here - don't think about it - just book a week at Ken and Tawyana's. Pat from Ohio May of07.

This vacation home is just amazing. We had the best vacation of our lives. The house comes with every amenity you could want ... and then some. It's such a nice quiet and relaxing place to be but a 5 minute drive and you're at the beach, shopping, restaurants. It's the best of both worlds. The owners were wonderful to work with. Our favorite memory is the evening we spent making s'mores at the fire pit as the sun was setting. Our kids ages 3 and 6 loved it (especially the trampoline)and we all can't wait to visit again.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the upscale accomodations. We wanted for nothing as every amenity was available. We were amazed at the views and most importantly, the PRIVACY! And when we wanted some action, it was a very short drive to the shops. But honestly, it was a relief to come back to the beach house.
