Guestbook comments from the owner:
Beautiful cabin located in the Great Smoky Mountains. Well maintained and decorated. Wonderful and helpful host.
Great for a couple or a family.
Gorgeous and peaceful view. We enjoyed listening to the birds and the stream, as well as watching the fireflies at night. Enjoyed seeing bunnies and chipmunks on a daily basis.
Great location as long as you have a 4wheeldrive. It is on a privately owned and maintained road.
Would definitely rent again!
This is a wonderful cabin way off the beaten path. It was wonderful to wake up each morning, sit on the porch, and not be able to hear anything but the ripple of the creek below. No cars, no voices, nothing but nature.
Cabin was clean and comfortable, view was great. Take note, however, that there's no cell coverage and internet isn't provided.
The cabin was perfect for two friends to get away in the Smokies. Just about everything you could want was provided, it was spotless and comfortable. The photos are very accurate. Once we turned off the main road onto the winding gravel road up to the cabin, we timed 10 min driving time. Located just minutes from Cherokee, Maggie Valley and the Smoky Mts National Park. Note that there is no internet, TV or cell phone signal. There is a land line in the cabin. I downloaded a few movies on my tablet to watch in the evening which worked fine. They do provide a large variety of children’s videos and games for you. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent getaway. Love this cabin! The view is beautiful, the area is peaceful and the cabin is well equipped and very clean. Love the fire pit area in the back and the hummingbirds on the porch! Can't wait to go back!
The owner of this property is very friendly and helpful and always gets his bookings correct. He offers a clean cabin with amenities that are needed by travelers. I like that he offers allergy sufferers a place to rent that is free of smoke and pet dander. We found Cherokee offers a wonderful play during summer months, wonderful history in museums and the Cherokee village craft and tour. The train trips out of Bryson City are great! Everett's Diner in Bryson City is good eating on a budget. Horse back riding at Rosemont was great, elk watching, fishing, casino, white water rafting. This cabin is close to lots of activities in Cherokee, Bryson City, Maggie Valley and surrounding towns. We have spent a lot of vacations in mountain cabins and this cabin tops them all for our budget range.
For 27 years my husband and I have rented in the Maggie Valley/Asheville area. This lovely cabin exceeded our expectation and previous experiences in every way...meticulously kept, immaculate, well appointed and stocked with everything you need, and so comfortable. THE VIEW and daily entertainment from hummingbirds and sounds of the creek kept us mesmerized as we rocked on the porch morning and evening! Just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway was an added bonus. Will definitely rent again- PEACE, REST, and lots of enjoyment! Highly recommend
Awesome and relaxing time. Did a little sightseeing-train ride at Bryson city, Hike to High Point on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and a couple of waterfalls. Plan on doing more next time as the wife will not be in a cast. Want to do more on the Cherokee reservation as far as historical activities and maybe doing some of the nearby water sports such as kayaking.
We had a tremendous vacation getaway staying at the cabin. It was well kept, very relaxing and had everything we needed to make our trip an unforgettable time. It was a good location for us to enjoy day trips to the many water falls and scenic hikes that there are to see and do and it’s an easy ride to Dollywood. Morning coffee on the porch was always relaxing, listening to the creek, enjoying the mountain view’s and watching the hummingbirds, before we headed out for the day. Coming back to the cabin after a long day, we enjoyed the cool evening breezes the fire pit and falling asleep to the sound of the creek over the hill. The owners are great and are willing to work with you to make your stay a great one. We all agreed that this was one of our top vacations and would highly recommend staying at this cabin.
The Mountain View Hideaway Cabin was wonderful. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The scenery was amazing. My friends and I had a great weekend.
What a wonderful week (10/22 - 10/29). The Mountain View Hideaway Cabin has some of the prettiest fall scenery, which can be seen right from the front porch of the cabin. After our day of sight seeing, we looked forward to relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine in hand looking out at the fall foliage, and each day it seemed to get prettier and prettier. On Sunday morning (10/28), our view was not only of the fall colors, but also snow (my husband said it could have been frost/ice), which caused the Blue Ridge Parkway road to be closed. We went back later in the day and it was open, so we rode to Woollyback Overlook to take in the beautiful scenery of the mountains (and a few pictures).
During our stay we visited many falls (Soco, Dry Falls (you can walk behind this one), Bridal Veil Falls, Linville Falls, Hickory Nut Falls), Grandfather Mountain (Mile-High Swinging Bridge, etc.), Chimney Rock, The Biltmore, and Wheels Through Time. Joeys Pancake House is great for breakfast, and it's only open from 7-noon, so hurry in. The Cabbage Rose and Maggie's Mountaineer Crafts were my favorites for shopping in Maggie Valley. Our anniversary dinner was at J Arthurs in Maggie Valley - excellent food and service. Before leaving the area, a bushel of Fuji apples was purchased from Maggie's - they are soooo good!
The road to the cabin was slow going but we had no problems. We drove our RAV4. The map given to us was perfectly drawn with the directions. At night, using our high beams, the drive was okay.
The cabin was well maintained, very clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. It had all the necessary kitchen equipment. The bathrooms were a good size as well as the bedrooms and closets, and the bed we used (main bedroom) was very comfortable).
We enjoyed our stay at Cranberry Creek Road very much. Would we return, yes!
My husband and I stayed at the Mountain View Hideaway for four wonderful nights. The cabin is clean, well maintained, has beautiful views and a serene location. While at the cabin we saw several hummingbirds, butterflies and some rabbits.
We are both looking forward to a return stay.
Mr. & Mrs Bennett,
Thank you for sharing your cabin! We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed watching the wildlife. There were plenty of Chipmunks and Hummingbirds and we also saw rabbits and wild Turkeys. The sound of the stream below was very soothing. The cabin was very clean and plenty of towels were provided. The kitchen was well stocked to cook most any meal and the grill was great too. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the fire pit as it rained every afternoon as it often does in the mountains. It is definitely secluded with no cell phone service but we bought a phone card from Dollar General and that worked fine for making long distant calls from the landline. This is the place to "disconnect"!
The cabin was very clean, fully stocked with anything you would need on the inside and a great grilling area with fire pit on the outside. The views from the front porch were beautiful, we spent every spare moment sitting out there in the chairs enjoying the cool air. We were lucky enough to have a friendly bear(s) visit us just before dark, but didn't bother us in anyway! It was so peaceful, we hated leaving during the day to visit our planned attractions, and would hurry back to watch the sunset from the front porch. Our family of 5 were very comfortable, having two full bathrooms and washer/dryer is a must for us, it was just like being at home.
We visited several waterfalls (Soco, Looking Glass, Sliding Rock, Chimney Rock) and would highly recommend all of them. Spent another day at Dollywood, really needed 2 days to see it all. The cabin was centrally located to all of our destinations, so were enjoyed taking a different route each day and took in as many breathe taking views as possible.
I highly recommend this cabin!
Mr Bennett was honest and straightforward from the first phone call were we inquired about the stay, all the way up until the last phone call making sure we received his check for the cleaning deposit refund! During those calls, he was always very polite and informative about the area. We are already planning our return for next summer, and will definately stay here again!
Cabin is great and the view was awesome. This place is a somewhere to just kick back and listen to the sounds of nature. The creek runs constantly and is soothing. Robert was great dealing with and I enjoyed our conversation about his place. It is centrally located to a lot of great spots to visit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a visit to the mountains.
We just got back from NC last weekend. The cabin is the most clean and cozy what we have ever been. Amazing views from the porch. The area is so peaceful which is lovely. We have enjoyed roasted sausages almost every night outside.
The rooms are cozy with very comfortable beds. My kids loved the rocking chairs especially the one next to the fire place. We went skiing every day. The ski resort is close which is very convenient , about 20 minutes driving from the cabin.
We love everything about that cabin and the area. We did not want to come back to Florida.. We look forward to coming back there next year. Cant wait!!!
Thank you to Mrs and Mr Bennett for sharing you cabin
Aleksandra with family
This Maggie Valley cabin is the epitome of relaxation! It is close to all attractions and stores in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds come and go from their feeder. We got to see all the places we wanted to and were very happy to return to this cabin every day. The creek running below was wonderful to listen to also. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We would definitely consider staying her again in the future! And the owner is so nice and easy to get along with.
Maggie Valley is a beautiful location in western North Carolina with nearby attractions like Cherokee, Cataloochee Valley, Cradle of Forestry, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and the Nantahala Outdoor Center. The cabin has all of the comforts of home with a spectacular view and the tricking of a nearby creek. The cabin features two bedrooms and two baths, laundry, patio with grill, and a great front porch with rocking chairs for everyone. Can't wait to visit again!
We had an amazing time in Maggie Valley! The house was very, very clean and perfectly decorated for a mountain cabin. The beds were extra comfy, and hearing the creek from the porch was so relaxing! It was a haul to get to this cabin up some long country roads, but it's well worth it for the privacy. We put the grill to good use! Can't wait to go back!
We had such a beautiful time at the cabin. It was an endless view on a scenic road. The cabin was stocked full of everything that I needed. As soon as we reached the Blue Ridge Parkway on SOCO road, we immediately ran into a family of Elk. Wonderful time.
The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed the outstanding view and love watching the hummingbirds. The outdoor patio area is very nice with fire pit and charcoal. Thank you Robert for calling us on our arrival day, to be sure everything was ok. We had a great vacation and wood love to come back this beautiful cabin.
We stayed here and were just in love with this place! The cabin is so warm and cozy feeling and the view is breathtaking!
This is the closes your come to heaven on earth. Great place to stay. We are ready to go back in the fall. Then view is so pretty.
We stayed 7 nights at this beautiful cabin. The views are absolutely gorgeous. I loved sitting on the porch drinking or reading a book. The sound of the small waterfall and brook were so soothing, The cabin was beautifully furnished and very clean. We loved every minute of our visit. Robert and Glenda Bennett were wonderful to work with. The only thing I have to say that is a negative is that you don't want to ride a motorcycle. The road is gravel and pretty bumpy. We were on a 3 wheeled Spyder and it would take us 12 minutes to go up. BUT once you were up there it was heavenly. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains.
This cabin was great. My family and I had a wonderful time exploring the area and just relaxing at the cabin around the fire.
What a fun family vacation! Take hikes in the mountains, go fly fishing in the river or just sit on the front porch, sip coffee, and enjoy the view. This is a great, comfy cozy little cabin equipped with everything you need.
A great place to stay. Everything in the cabin was clean and neat. The scenery was great. Only thing is we rode motorcycles in to cabin with no trouble but need to be experienced rider due to gravel road.
We thoroughly enjoyed your home. It was absolutely perfect! I loved all the bear "accents". Staying at your charming place added a great deal to our trip. I loved watching the magical mysterious mist from the bedroom window--------------- thanks for sharing Karen
We stayed at this cabin for a week in July. It was comfortable, clean, and peaceful. Robert Bennett was a pleasure to work with. I love him always saying God Bless America & America Bless God. That means a lot to me and shows what a good person I was renting from. The cabin was a blessing, it brings you back to what is important in life, enjoying God's work.
We were so blessed to have found your home on the list of our needs and wants for a vacation spot.
We all felt that it was truly a spot that we could go and relax, especially after a day of adventure, shopping site seeing, hiking and the list goes on.
We took two of our children, one of which had never been to North Carolina, a 15 year old boy, who just didn't want to leave, what a delight to know that no matter how young or old you are the miracles of God's Blessing are still around us and we can rejoice in all he offers us.
Thank you soooo much for allowing us to be in your home, that by the way, had everything we needed, some things we wanted but didn't know we wanted until we got there. Ex: all the games, books, but, the sites and sounds were the BEST!
May God continue to Bless you and your family as your family continues to help others be blessed as well
I can not say enough about this beautiful cabin. Our vacation was everything that I had hoped for and more. The cabin is immaculately kept. It I stocked with everything you could possibly need down to a safety pin. Mr Bennett was very informative on the nearby attractions and always a pleasure to talk to.I will definitely be booking it again in the future
A small but quaint cabin with all the comforts of home with the benefits of a view that is unbelievable. If you are looking to get away from the hectic world with no internet or phone service this cabin is for you. What a wonderful way to reconnect with your loved ones. We will definitely return to this wonderful home. Thanks to the Bennetts for letting us enjoy their cabin retreat.
My husband and I stayed here for a week and loved it! We enjoyed the views of NOTHING but mountains. No commercial property or other homes in view. The porch was a great place for morning coffee and evening relaxation. We will definitely stay here again.
If you're looking for a sense of seclusion this is the cabin! We absolutely loved the area and the cabin!! We sat on the front porch each morning and had coffee. Nothing to see but mountains on every side! No cabins or roads or commercial buildings anywhere! We will definitely stay here again!
We had a great time. The cabin was cozy and clean. My family enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the humming birds. What a peaceful location. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, we hope to come back soon.
The views were right out of a novel!! The cabin was absolutely perfect! It was just as your wife described it, totally allergy proof, which was great for me!
The only drawback was the very, very narrow winding road to the cabin, and the fact that you could not be out at night because of this and the utter darkness in the mountains. But, if these factors do not scare you, then people will enjoy this to the fullest.
Thank you again for a perfect time at the cabin. The comfort of your mountain home was exceptional.
Our family had a wonderful stay at your beautiful cabin in the woods! It was clean and comfortable, and Robert couldn't have been more kind and helpful. The cabin is fairly secluded and has gorgeious views. It's nice to sit and rock on the porch and just soak it all in! We appreciated the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for our family of 4. Very handy with 2 teenage daughters! The windy route to the cabin was manageable in good weather, but a 4-wheel drive would be a must during the winter. We certainly enjoyed this home away from home, and it was hard to leave! We hope to return sometime!
This cabin is fabulous!! Extremely clean. Very private and felt like you were away from the world! Great location to get just about anywhere in the area! Good central location, but away from it all at the same time. Pictures actually didn't do it justice! Had a great time!!
We are just home from our stay in this beautiful cabin. We enjoyed the seclusion, the views, the rest, and our time rocking on the front porch. We only had one problem during our stay, and that was not wanting to leave!
Everything was so nice, and we tried to leave things just as we found them...our goal was to leave it a little better, but there is nothing to improve! It will not be our last time there.
We just completed our second visit to this cabin and it was as great as the first time we stayed. The cabin is well supplied with everything needed to make it a "home away from home". Something we really appreciate is how clean the entire cabin is maintained. We are already looking forward to another visit.
Great place to relax after a day at SMNP. Cabin had everything you could want. Breathtaking views of the mountains in the early morning and late afternoon. We will be back.
My family had a great time at Mr & Mrs. Bennett's cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We so enjoyed an afternoon nap listening to the rainfall, nearby stream, and the blowing wind. The cabin was very clean and the pictures on the webpage were true. It's an amazing place to get away and relax. My husband and 3 year old especially enjoyed making a fire outside and making s'mores!
After visiting the Bennett's "little piece of Paradise" last summer, we knew immediately that we wanted to return this summer. We took my father with us this time, as well as our 18 year old son. Last year we had done a lot of "touristy" things during our stay. This year, we did a few things in the area., such as driving on the Blue RIdge Parkway (entrance is about 1/5 mile on the main road from the cabin).. went to Cherokee (about 10 miles the other direction.) My son likes to spend time in Asheville, so we spent a day there, again. This year, we spent the majority of our time at the beautiful cabin, looking across the mountains and enjoying the mountain air and breezes. Sitting on the front porch, enjoying conversation and coffee, while watching the hummingbirds that come to feast at the feeder hanging
above the porch rail. They decided to play "chase" with each other a few times, making them even more entertaining.
We grilled out on the standing grill a couple of times for great dinners ( there is also a fire pit, which we used last year to roast hot dogs... and marshmellows for s'mores.)
The cabin is secluded, you seldom hear any noises other than a few birds, occasionally, AND the sounds of the creek below (I think my husband's favorite thing is tofall asleep to the sounds of the creek.)
If you are so inclined, there is a lot to do within a short driving distance. Last year we drove to the valley to see the elk, loved that trip. Around the area is horseback riding, hiking, zip lines, etc., but, you will probably be very tempted to spend the majority of your time "at home."
This "home away from home" is always spotless when we arrive, and supplied with most everything you would need for a stay (do bring your own food, only so much they can provide.)
I love that the Bennett's are willing to share their beautiful home with us lucky renters. I know that we want to return again next year. I hope that you choose to experience this wonderful vacation spot, as well.
Wanted a vacation to enjoy the fall colors and mountain views. We got there on Sunday, Oct. 21, never dreaming that when we started to the cabin from the main road we would be on a little gravel path, winding up the mountain into a private, secluded, breath taking cabin as Mountain View Hideaway (name fully fits). The view from porch was so beautiful, we would sit and enjoy the view for hours. Cabin was very clean and comfortable had ever thing need for our stay. We enjoyed grilling hamburgers and roasting marshmallows while listening to the creek and the rustling of falling leaves. We have stayed at several cabins in the past but never one that is so private that you feel you are on top of a mountain all alone. I would suggest if you are looking for peace, seclusion, a wonderful God given view then this is just the cabin you need.
I wanted peace and quite on my vacation and this is what this cabin gave to me. The cabin is placed where you can see nothing but the beautiful colors of the trees and the view is awesome. As far as you can see are mountains and undisturbed nature. I have never stayed in a place that let me feel any closer to heaven then this. The only sounds were those of a waterfall somewhere on the property as well as the sounds of birds. No cars, no planes, no phones just the sounds of nature. When you look around you don't see the tops of other cabins or anything below. It is the most natural setting you could ever expect to visit. I hated to leave and can't wait to return next year. I can assure you that if you are truly looking for peace and quite that you will not find a better place anywhere. It was also the cleanest place I have ever rented. I have really bad allergies to most things and nothing inside this cabin bothered me at all. That is one of the things that scare me is to get a place that I can't stay in because of perfumy smells, musty odors, cigarette smoke or pet hair ETC. Everything was perfect. It still takes my breath away thinking about each morning I got up to watch the sunrise and to watch the clouds rise up to show the mountains in the background. It still brings tears to my eyes even now while writing this review. I took a good book to read and sat out on the porch alot of the time. If you want something besides peace and quite you can drive ten minutes into Maggie Valley or go to Cherokee and after you have spent the day there with the hustle and bustle of people then you will really appreciate the cabin even more . I don't know what else I can possibly say that I haven't already except that the water was also good because my coffee tasted the same as usual. I hope this review helps you in making your decision. My only regret is that I am not the owner. Sincerely, Charlene Locke Gilbert, SC
This stay was our 8th time in your cabin, and it just keeps getting better. Some things remain the same though.......like the cleanliness of the cabin, and the beautiful views. Watching the distant fog and clouds moving through the mountains is always relaxing as we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch in a rocking chair. We especially enjoyed the walks in the mountains near the cabin, around the lake path at Lake Junaluska in Maggie, and the shaded hiking paths at Deep Creek near Bryson City. Our peaceful, relaxing breaks from 'city' life are the reasons we keep going back. God bless, The Smith's, Tampa FL
The cabin is awesome. Completely furnished with everything someone may need. Beautiful views and alot of hummingbirds and butterflies. Enjoyed the family trip. The cabin made the trip even better. Got to spend alot of quality with the family. We will definitely be back.
We spent so much time on the porch, in the rocking chairs, watching the ever changing mountain vistas, that the inside of the cabin became unimportant. Sitting on the porch, it was fascinating to watch the hummingbirds come in to feed from the hummingbird feeder. The cabin is well stocked for any kind of cooking. The decor is cute... mix of rustic and Victorian . The weather was cool and crisp...a welcome change from the Florida heat and humidity. We used the fire pit for hotdogs and s'mores. Maggie Valley had some great country restaurants and for a more sophisticated shopping and eating experience, Waynesville was not far away. There is no supermarket in Maggie Valley, so plan your trip for that. We loved being in the mountains and would return again...hopefully for a longer visit.
We stayed for five days. Once we turned off the highway it was nothing but awesome. The winding roads were really fun. Once we found the cabin i was speechless. It was a beautiful mountain view,You could see the rain coming so we were trying to unload our stuff. then we got to just sit on the porch and enjoy. There are an abundance of humming birds. The inside of the cabin was nicely decorated. only thing I would change I would have ceiling fans in the bedrooms. the kitchen was well furbished also both baths. We didn't get to grill or use firepit because of the rain. I just ca't say enough bout that porch and raining.I would rent this cabin again. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Bennett for sharing your beautiful place. The pricing was really reasonable was another thing that got my attention. Really loved the area. Really hope to have one of our own one day. We love the mountains and go every year. We are drawn to the Maggie Valley/Cherokee areas the most.It is just a central location for most everything. Again thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Bennett for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.
This is a lovely, comfortable, well equipped cabin. It's perfectly suitable, spotlessly cleaned and maintained with amazing views of the mountains from the porch rocking chairs. In all, four adults rented and the space was ideal.
We did trailer in our Harleys and the trip from the highway to the cabin was a bit of a challenge and riding the bikes on the gravel road even more so. But would we do it again...absolutely!!!!! That was part of the adventure. Thank you once again for allowing us to rent.
Absolutely fantastic accomodations! The best maintained cabin we've stayed at in the area.
I think we picked the hottest weather on record in 200 years or so and I was concerned we'd never get the place cooled. However, it A/C unit worked great and the fans(ceiling and floor) helped immensely!
Remote, but that was ok and the trip "back in" in the dark after Unto These Hills was interesting!
Our visit to the Bennettes cabin was wonderful! We wanted to gett away from the hussle and bussle and just relax and have peace and quite. We diffentely got it.We where so far away from it all,all we heard was birds, nature and the little waterfall running. The cell phones wouldnt work(which didnt hurt my feeling any)I loved the little widing road going to the cabin. The view from the porch was amazing, the humming birds would come right up to the feeder and you sitting right there.Took me 3days tho to get a picture of one in mid air.we took walks up and down the road and around cabin. It was really relaxing. The cabin it self was great everything was clean and ready.(Love the wood work) And really!!!! loved the porch. Thanks for sharing youre piece of heaven with us.I would reckamend this cabin to anyone that wants great views and nothing but nature.Hope to get back to it next year!
The cabin and location is just what Robert said it was like. Very clean and peacefull. Spent most of the time on the front porch looking over the beauty GOD created. Enjoyed watching the clouds and fog move over the mountains. I never did read the book I took with me. This was a great time to reconnect with the family. If you like peacefull get aways this is the cabin for you..
What a terrific getaway. We put away our watches and listened to the rythm of the mountain. It was amazing to watch the storms roll over the ridges and then see the rain twinkle on the leaves after the storm had passed. Nearby Cades Cove was a special treat as we saw bear, deer, elk, and turkeys. We also spent an afternoon kayaking on Lake Junaluska, which was a lot of fun. Robert and Glenda have provided a unique little piece of heaven for those that truly want to escape from the hub bub of day to day. This was our 3rd vacation in their home and certainly plan to return. The view is incredible and just the perfect setting to let your cares just fall away. This is nature at its best!!
Wow..hated to leave after 10 beautiful days..Cottage was lovely with a very interesting twisting 2 mile single lane approach but directions were clear and we made it fine to a very unique, beautiful remote location. Everything was as we had been told with very clear instructions on every aspect of the cabin. Stress free 10 days for us with well above normal November weather as another bonus.
Coming from Illinois we were very impressed by the mountain views, especially the colors. We visited Biltmore Estates which was beautiful to say the least. We did alot of sight seeing. Got lost a few times. Not very good signs but we managed. The cabin was just as pictured. Loved it. Did not like the long winding graveled road to it though. Food everywhere was good. Rode the train and visited the aquarium and they were very enjoyable. We even took a picture of a rainbow on Graveyard Mountain. The whole week was great including the weather.
There was 4 of us and we really enjoyed staying at the cabin although we only spent the nights there.. During the day we went to different sights. There is a lot to do around there. The colors were real beautiful. I think we hit the best time to go. Everything was all in color.
We arrived late aftrnoon and hand no trouble in finding the abin. The cabin was great it was clean and ready for our arrival. The view from the front porch is fantastic. It was near to Cherokee and Maggie Valley. We would not hesitate to rent this cabin again.
We had a wonderful time, the cabin was absolutely gorgeous. We went trout fishing, horse back riding and took many great walks, we visited Cherokee as well. It was so quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to any of our friends. Thanks so much to the Bennetts for such a homey and cosy cabin.
Our family had a great time at the beautiful cabin. The girls (6 and 2) enjoyed the great porch and the fire pit and looking at the stars. My husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and morning coffee with the views of the mountains. Thank you to the Bennetts for sharing your lovely cabin.
My husband and I spent 5 nights in this cabin. The cabin was one of the cleanest we have ever been to. It looks exactly like the pictures. The weather was perfect, in the 70's all week. We were a little surprised at the roads leading to the cabin but didn't have any trouble getting there. Beautiful view of the mountains, we had a perfect time!
A beautiful crystal clear two nights at the cabin, but very cold. Cabin was very cozy, clean and warm, we all had a great albiet short time there. Would like to visit again in Spring or Fall!
Thank you for allowing us to spend time in your beautiful cabin. I is absolutely breath taking. The views are unreal. So peaceful and spiritual. God is Good. We hope to come and stay again soon. Wes said he would like to be your neighbor.
If you want a place to get away from it all, this is it! Very nice cabin at the bottom of a mountain. Would imagine the views would be spectacular during the Fall. We missed all the leaves, but even the trees with no leaves in the mountains were still breathtaking. Would love to go back.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We talked about going back next year in the fall and taking enough supplies to stay for a week without having to leave. Just rest and relaxation and enjoy the peace. The owners are wonderful and caring people and it was great doing business with you.
This place had me at "hello". I could learn to live here very easily. The view of the mountains from the porch left me speechless. I couldn't wait for the sun to come up every morning, so I could sit there with my hot chocolate and marshmallows and be "in awe" of the beauty of God's work. My niece, Nikki, and I celebrated her 17th birthday there watching the leaves turn. We also visited Waynesville (Nike and Nate's Pizza)the best anywhere, Asheville (Biltmore Estate), Cherokee, and Maggie Valley.
We both live to shop, so we definitely helped out the local economy. I am a photographer, so I was in Heaven with all the gorgeous views around, including inside the cabin with its' mountain decor. I got a great shot of my niece standing on the porch with the view of the mountains in the background. We'll be enjoying that portrait for years to come.
The Bennett's are the perfect couple to rent from. They're very warm and friendly. Their cabin is spotless and has all the coziness of home. We enjoyed watching DVDs at night and couldn't wait to get to bed early, because the beds are pillow top soft, yet firm. I woke up with a smile on my face every morning, just looking forward to my day in this lovely place. Would recommend it to anyway that wants a lovely experience with no hassels.

Nice hideaway, no AC needed, temp stayed during day between 65 and 70, great. Nice and quiet, clean and relaxing. Had a great time. I did not have, but ATV's are wecome in the area. People are nice and frendly, great place with a greate price.
Show up, Turn key, and Whalahh...you are definitely on vacation away from it all! Location, Location, LOCATION! Close to everything! White water rafting, riding horses, feeding the chipmnks (adorable, birds, and hummingbirds is a great pastime. Firepit makes for a family gathering. Indian reservation and trout pond right down the road! Brought 4 huge trout home and enough to feed 8 people with leftovers!(We brought them home for our fish fry). So many things to do and walk. I could have left my asthma meds at home - didn't need them! Home was clean/comfortable and even got my ironing done! Life is good!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and it's amazing views. There are lots of sites to see and places to visit while in Maggie Valley, but nothing beat a relaxing morning and evening on the front porch. Thank you for such a wonderful week!
We had a wonderful vacation made even better by our stay in this cabin. It was decorated beautifully, scrupulously clean and conveniently located. Sitting on the porch in rockers drinking coffee and talking, so peaceful and restful, delightful!! Our grandson asked to stay another week. We hope to return.
My family 2 adults & 2 children spent 6 days in this wonderful cozy cabin..Will return in the summer because we loved it so much. We rode our ATV's all over the mountains and found many many beautiful streams and gorgeous spots for taking pictures. neighbors are ALL very friendly in case (you lose your way)lol!..We played lots of games & spent lots of family time together.. What a great location! Maggie Valley has beautiful little shops for rainy days & everything you will ever need is just a few miles away.. Thank You Mr.& Mrs. Bennett!!! GOD BLESS YOU!
What a wonderful cabin, very clean and cozy and convenient to area attractions. This place is a perfect getaway any time of the year. Our grandkids had a great time and didn't want to leave. They had the opportunity to take ski lessons and ski at Cataloochee Ski Resort beside Ghost Town. I recommend staying at the Bennett's cabin due to the breathtaking view, area attractions and cleaniness of the cabin.
To anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, cozy place to stay in the beautiful mountains of Maggie Valley and Cherokee, this is the place! The cabin is secluded with amazing views of the mountains. From the front porch you can hear a flowing creek below you. We went to find peace and quiet and enjoyed every minute. Maggie Valley is only a short drive away and has quaint shops and family restaurants with fantastic food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin and will definitely be making reservations for another stay. The fall colors were just breathtaking. We may reserve during the summer to escape the heat! Thank you for sharing your mountain paradise with us.
Our stay at this cabin was great. They didn't forget anything. There were even night lights for the kids. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the porch, firepit and the convenient location to everything. I have already told my friends and they are planning trips as well. We will surely go back again.
We were looking for a mountain retreat with access to the hiking trails of the Great Smokey Mountains to enjoy with our son on leave from the Army before heading to South Korea for a year or two- we were very pleased. If the master bedroom had a queen-size bed, we would have rated this home as a 5-star experience. But everything else was so nice that we will certainly consider coming back again. We also appreciated the very warm and hospitable interactions that we had with both Bob and Glenda. Although we do not know them personally, we very much appreciate the sincerity with which they tried to ensure we had a great time. Finally, our security deposit was returned in a very timely fashion.
Anyone wanting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday should book this cabin retreat! A great place to relax and enjoy nature during the day as well as sit on the porch relaxing in the coolness of the evening/nights.
A place where beauty is more than can be imagined. You can sit back in a rocking chair on the porch, drinking your morning coffee. From there you can see all the fall colors, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin itself makes you feel right at home. You have everything you need right there. It's really nice the way it's decorated,so cosy.I will be going back. The cabin is set in such a beautiful location, there is still so much to see.But just sitting in that rocking chair, looking across to the mountains,I believe was the most peaceful.I will go back,Brenda
We had a wonderful time at your cabin. It was so cozy and very clean! We will definitely visit again. It is such peaceful spot and the relaxation was just what we needed. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch and watching the hummingbirds. Also, loved the ever changing mountain views! We visited water falls and enjoyed ride on the "Great Smoky Mountains Railroad". Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!
Escape from noise, enjoy beauty, peace & quiet
Amazing, I can't remember the last time I was somewhere that I couldn't hear any human created noise. I found I here, no noise from traffic, air conditioners, lawn mowers, just the sound of a creek, the birds, and wind through the trees. This cabin is comfortable and clean with a great view from the front porch. It's an easy drive into Maggie Valley or Waynesville for meals or shopping. And you can hop right on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a scenic drive.

Great getaway cabin
This is a nice cabin to get away to. There is a great view of the valley between some mountains and creek that runs close by. It was so relaxing sitting on the porch in the rocking chair. There is a nice sitting area on the side of the cabin where theres a fire pit and a grill. I loved this cabin its a ways off the road where theres no cell reception but there is a home phone and satellite so it wasn’t too far off the grid.
